July 2020 Newsletter
Welcome to the Arthur Hudson Site Engineers Newsletter
General Update
Well the virus has certainly knocked the construction industry for six.
Jane & I furloughed all staff back at the end of March, as recommended by the Government. The offices remain closed with all staff taking training courses where & when they can.
We continue to work from home & run the business as normal as possible. The phones are working on a temporary number 01636 551229 but it may ring for a while before we pick it up (due to the diverts in place) Sites are slowly restarting, I believe that as the lockdown measures ease more construction sites will open up & we will hopefully see the bounce back that most people want to happen.
We have been very busy, mostly on one day a week jobs -all over the UK. One of the challenges we are having is using the most local engineer due to many hotels being closed, it is therefore a struggle to find somewhere for our engineers to sleep if they aren't close to home.
Office Update
We are hoping to open the offices again in August, dependant on Government guidelines and local COVID-19 R level. We, as many others, are struggling with the school & childcare facility closures as our office employees are all parents!

Social Media
Even though we have only posted a few times since lockdown, with our office staff furloughed, we are still growing our following which is fantastic to see. Please do follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter to keep up with us during this period.
From Nick
Social distancing, face masks, Furlough, clapping for the NHS, working from home, going to the pub but not standing at the bar. What will you remember about 2020 & the COVID-19 Pandemic. Like most people I don't know what the new normal will look like but i am confident that we will adapt & change to suit whatever comes our way, to continue to build a better future. I would also like to thank all of our customers & suppliers for their support over the last few months. Take care, & thank you.
